What elephant?

Silly 5 classWooHoo!  Today was the first day of a three week online class I’ve joined.  Silly 5 by Carla Sonheim author of “Collage Lab” and Squeen of Fleepdom (Silly + Queen=Squeen in the imaginary kingdom of Fleep).  You can see that this class is all about having fun and letting your inner silly self do the work.

Every day Carla sends a downloadable worksheet like this—->

The original one had just the skeleton of the tree and one “elephant leaf” hanging from a bottom branch.  Your assignment:  Fill the tree with more elephant leaves, use permanent marker and use whatever color you want.  Simple little elephant shapes make it easy to copy and let your mind wander into creativeville.  Before you know it one idea leads to another…..

This is just the test sheet Carla sends out the day before so everyone gets to practice the technical aspects of downloading, posting to flickr  and checking out the Silly 5 blog site.  My sheet for today was drawing a school of fish with both hands–not quite finished yet but its taking a turn for the crazy!  Here’s the link to the class if you’d like to check it out:  http://carlasonheim.wordpress.com/2012/01/03/february-silly-5-online-class-registration-open/

About artsynaturenut

I'm a creative warrior constantly fighting my battle with my muse against that nasty critic. I love to paint and do mixed media work either on the canvas or with art journals. I'll dabble in just about everything--bookmaking, photography, writing, etc. and get excited about combining them. Hence the mixed media!
